Speaking to media on the sidelines of a grand opening ceremony for Galaxy Macau’s Phase 3 project, Mr. Lui disclosed that the forthcoming hotel brand aimed to deliver innovative offerings tailored to high-end guests.

While refraining from revealing the brand, he emphasised its esteemed reputation on a global scale.

“Our positioning for this exceptional hotel is to cater to a high-end clientele, and this brand is renowned worldwide,” Mr. Lui said.

Galaxy Macau’s Phase 3 project currently features two hotel brands, Andaz Macau and Raffles Macau, providing a total of more than 1,100 guest rooms.

The development also includes two MICE and entertainment venues, the Galaxy International Convention Center and the Galaxy Arena.

GEG’s Vice Chairman also told media that Galaxy Macau was currently in the process of preparing various programs, with one notable project being a large-scale theme park.

Lui chose to withhold specific details regarding the non-gaming investment. However, he expressed that the upcoming year, 2024, will be marked by a diverse array of entertaining and sporting events.

The grand opening ceremony for Phase 3 was held at the new Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC), one of the new facilities under the latest development phase alongside Galaxy Arena and hotels Andaz Macau, and Raffles.

The ongoing Phase 3 development, gradually unveiling over the course of the year, showcases GICC, offering 40,000 square meters dedicated to conventions and exhibitions, and Galaxy Arena, designed to accommodate up to 16,000 people, as its flagship features. Galaxy reports that GICC has already hosted over 220 conventions, exhibitions, entertainment shows, and sports events in 2023.

Phase 3 also introduces two international hotel brands, Andaz Macau and Raffles, jointly offering more than 1,100 rooms.

GEG Chairman Lui Che Woo said at the opening ceremony that the gaming and integrated resort operator hopes to “continue passing Galaxy Entertainment‘s principles of a cosmopolitan worldview and Asian-centricity down the generations.”
